Hunza Valley (Pakistan’s Beautiful and Astonishing Valley)

 

Hunza Valley is one of the most beautiful and amazing place in the world to visit. It is situated in Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan. It shares the border with China.

The Hunza valley is situated at an altitude of 2,438 meters.

Hunza Valley has three Regions.

 

  • UPPER HUNZA

 

Upper Hunza is known as GOJAL. It is beautiful

and attractive valley The most famous karakoram Highway also run in this region which goes straight into China at Khunjarab pass.

Upper Hunza aka Gojal further consists of some beautiful and amazing Valleys :

Lower Hunza shares its boundries with the Nagar Valley.

LANGUAGE:

 

                              Due to its many villages many languages are spoken in hunza .

The local language’s spoken in Hunza are:

 

  • Brushuski
  • Wakhi
  • Shina
  • Domki
  • URDU (Urdu is a national language of Pakistan so almost all people understands Urdu).
  • ENGLISH (English is also known by many people in Hunza)

 

 

 

HOW TO GET TO HUNZA VALLEY:

 

There are normally two ways to go to hunza.

By Road:

                 You can reach hunza by travelling via road. On a bus or on your own car. It is at-most 22+ hours drive from Islamabad, Lahore etc to Gilgit. Than from Gilgit you have to drive 100km more to reach Hunza Valley (it takes 3 to 4 hours to reach hunza from Gilgit).If you travel on bus. The bus stand is located on KKH from there you would have to book a jeep and travel to hunza.

By Plane:

                 You can also travel through plane to Gilgit. Pakistan’s Public airline offers 45 mintutes to 1 hour to Gilgit. Than from Gilgit you have to drive 100km more to reach Hunza Valley (it takes 3 to 4 hours to reach hunza from Gilgit).
