 USA accepts its defeat and signed peace accord with TALIBANS….

After almost two decade, Americans accept their defeat with Talibans and this time there is hope for afghani people that they can also reconstruct their country  and eradicate the terrorism and unlawful activities  that creates difficulties not only afghani people but also neighbouring  countries. This accord signing takes 2 years to negioate between USA&TALIBANS.

This accord signing is not easy task for TALIBANS &USA because less than a week later, Trump canceled the peace talks after an attack in Kabul that killed an American soldier and 11 others. Peace negotiations began again in December 2019.This round of talks resulted in a seven-day partial ceasefire which began on 22 February 2020.

On 29 February, 2020, the United States and the Taliban signed a peace agreement in Doha, Qatar. The US will draw down its forces to 8,600 troops from about 12,000, and close five bases, all by mid-July. Remaining troops will be withdrawn by May 2021.

• The Taliban will prevent militant groups from using Afghan soil to threaten the US and its allies.

• Afghan government will release up to 5,000 Taliban prisoners in exchange for 1,000 Afghan security forces held by the Taliban.

• US will work to remove Taliban members from sanctions.

• Taliban and the Afghan government will start negotiating a comprehensive cease-fire in March.
