Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Christians, will visit Iraq in March next year.
Pope Francis’ visit to Iraq will be the first to any country since the global epidemic, the corona virus has taken hold in the world.
Pope Francis will stay in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, with Pope Francis said to be in Iraq from March 5 to 8.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss health emergency programs around the world. “With this visit, we would like to express our sympathy to the people of Iraq,“ the spokesman said.
Regarding the visit, Iraq says Pope Francis’ visit to Iraq shows that humanity is supreme and will discourage religious extremism.
The visit is important not only for Iraq but also for maintaining peace in the region.
Iraq has also called Pope Francis’ visit a historic one.
“Iraq’s stability is very good, so I want to go there next year, and I hope that in the future, Iraq will be a beautiful face of peace and all kinds of extremism, including religion,“ Pope Francis said. Choice will be discouraged.
“I want to send a message of peace to people of all faiths living in Iraq, and I want all standards of justice and dignity to be upheld and humanity to prevail,“ Pope Francis said.
Remember that only one percent of Christians live in Iraq, while the majority of Muslims live.
However, it should be noted that before the outbreak of the corona virus, Pope Francis had visited many other Muslim countries, including Dubai, where the Pope visited in February 2019.
